Welcome to LinkU  (hereinafter referred to as "LinkU" or "we"). We prioritize and protect your privacy while you use our services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our data practices.

1. Collection of Information

When you use LinkU, we may collect the following types of information:

1.1 Registration Information:
When you create a LinkU account, we collect personal information such as your user name, avatar, country, and date of birth.

1.2 Activity Information:

We track your interactions on LinkU, such as follows, blocks, and reports, to maintain community standards.

If you use LinkU's chat feature, we store your chat history to enhance service quality and user experience.

1.3 Log Information:
Our servers automatically log certain information when you use LinkU, including your IP address, browser type, access time, and actions within the app. This data helps us analyze user behavior, resolve issues, and improve our services.

1.4 Device Information:
We collect device-specific information, including Device ID, operating system version, and mobile network information. This data is used to optimize LinkU’s performance across different devices and maintain compatibility with various operating systems.

1.5 Advertising Identifier:
LinkU may collect your device’s advertising IDs to analyze app usage and improve user experience. This identifier does not contain any personally identifiable information and is used solely for analytical purposes.

2. Permissions We Collect

During use, we may request access to certain device permissions. Please note that we will only collect and use this data with your explicit authorization. You may manage or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

2.1 Audio Permissions
We may need access to your microphone to enable you to send voice messages in the Instant Messaging (IM) feature. This permission is solely for recording and transmitting voice messages; the audio data will not be used for any other purpose. If you deny this permission, you will be unable to use the voice messaging feature.

2.2 Camera Access
We may request access to your camera for video call features and to allow you to update your avatar. This permission is used solely for video calls and avatar updates and will not be used for other purposes. If denied, these features will be unavailable, but permissions can be managed or revoked at any time in your device settings.

2.3 Photo Permissions
We may request access to your device’s storage to allow you to send pictures via IM and to change your personal avatar. This permission is only used for image transfer and avatar updates, and picture data is not stored or used for any other purpose.

2.4 External Storage Access
To ensure smooth app performance, we may request access to external storage. This enables LinkU to save temporary files or app cache on your device. If denied, certain app features may be affected, but you can manage this permission at any time in your device settings.

2.5 SMS Permission

This permission allows an app to send SMS messages, receive SMS messages, and view SMS messages stored on the device. However, if misused maliciously, it may lead to property losses. For example, attackers could obtain SMS verification codes to conduct fraudulent activities such as unauthorized fund transfers or account theft.

2.6 Network Permission

This permission includes access to the network, obtaining network information status, and acquiring WiFi status. Almost all apps that require internet connectivity need this type of permission to enable functions such as data transmission (e.g., uploading user data, downloading service-related files) and content loading (e.g., displaying real-time news, loading video resources).

2.7 Notification Permission

Once an app obtains this permission, it can send notification messages to users, such as new message alerts (e.g., instant messaging app chat notifications), event notifications (e.g., app promotion activities, appointment reminders), and status updates (e.g., order progress notifications, software update prompts).
